Riftstones

A way to turn endgame progression into a challenge players can shape and push further.

The idea

Riftstones are planned as the entry point to challenging instanced encounters. The design direction combines scalable difficulty, modifiers, and rewards, giving players a reason to adapt as their characters grow.

How the system is meant to feel

A Riftstone run should ask for a choice: take on a challenge that fits the group, or push into a harder version for a greater test. Modifiers are intended to change the character of an encounter and make preparation matter.

Those are design goals, not a final rulebook. The available material does not confirm exact tiers, drop rates, crafting rules, entry limits, or reward tables, so this guide does not assign them.

Where it fits

Riftstones are envisioned as one of two complementary progression paths. Sealed Chambers represent a more predictable dungeon experience; Riftstones are intended to provide more scalable challenge.
